What is the maximum time to insure my bicycle after purchase? And what if it is a second-hand bike?
We can insure the bike up to 8 years after the initial purchase. If you bought it second-hand, we will insure the bike for up to 8 years from the date the first owner bought it.
What is material damage insurance?
We intervene in the event of material damage to the insured bike:accidentally caused to the insured bike by external forces or accidentally caused by yourself;caused by an act of vandalism;caused by contact with animals or natural elements such as fire or flood.
What is theft insurance?
We insure bikes against theft and damage caused in the event of theft or attempted theft, as well as theft or attempted theft caused by assault. If your bike is stolen, we will reimburse you after deducting any excess and depreciation.
How do I know what type of bicycle I have in my possession?

What kind of bicycles are covered?
A two or three-wheel vehicle which can be moved only by muscular effort.
What is emergency expense ?
The guarantee applies when the insured is immobilized and unable to complete his journey with the insured bike due to a: Accident, Theft, Vandalism or Bodily injury consecutive of the use of the bike. We cover, during the entire duration of the immobilization of the bike or insured's immobilization, the bike rental or travel costs incurred, to go the place where the insured needs to go and then the return to the insureds residence or the residence designated by him;We pay for this guarantee based on supporting documents and up to a maximum €1480 DKK. This guarantee is limited to 3 claims per insurance year.
What locks are allowed/approved?
The bike must be secured to a fixed point during the theft and locked with an approved bike lock from among ABUS 10+, ART 2+, FUB 2+ or Sold Secure Silver or Gold. (click here for more info)
What is a GPS tracker ?
The GPS tracker allows you to locate your bike precisely via the application and to be alerted in real time in case of suspicious movements of the bike. A GPS tracker allows you to get a discount on your bike insurance.
Is my bike covered in my car or on a bike rack?
Yes, your bike is covered if it is in your locked car. It is also covered if it is secured with an approved lock to your bike rack as long as it is properly secured to your car.
Where to find the serial number of my bicycle ?
All bikes have a unique serial number to identify them. It is usually made up of letters and numbers and is either engraved on the frame or glued on with a label. Click here to find more info.
Is my bike covered against theft if it is in my cellar, garage or flat without being locked with a lock?
Yes, if these places are not accessible to other people outside and there are signs of break-in.
Is my bike covered against theft in a bike room accessible to other people?
Yes, but only if it is secured to a fixed point by the frame with an approved lock.

Who are the insured persons?
Not only the policyholder, but also all persons who use the bicycle with the policyholder's permission.
Is my connected lock (ABUS SMARTX) valid in case of theft?
Abus has launched a new range of connected locks (SMARTX) without a physical key. You can use this type of lock with the Qover-me insurance as long as the security of the lock corresponds to the minimum required by the general conditions (ABUS level 10 minimum) In the event of theft of the bicycle we will ask you to prove to us via a screenshot of the Abus application that your lock was properly secured when it was stolen.
Is my bicycle covered during transport?

What are my obligations?
The bicycle must be locked with a either ABUS (security 10 or more), [AXA Hiplok, Kryptonite, Linka (with chain), MasterLock, texlock, Trelock] and it is a VdS approved lock of class A+ or B+, or FUB (category 2 wheels or higher) approved, or approved by Sold Secure Silver (or Gold) or by approved ART category 2 (or higher), or Onguard locks and SRA Locks AND used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The bike must ALSO be locked to a fixed point (e.g. a post) at the time of the theft..You must file a statement concerning the theft of your insured bike with the relevant police authorities within 24 hours of the incident.You must supply the purchase invoice of your bike when filing a claim for compensation.You must file your claim as soon as possible after the incident and within 8 days of the time when you became aware of the incident.The information you supply when taking out the policy must be accurate.If the bike is more than 30 days old, you must supply photographs when taking out the policy.
